I am a Care Coordinator dedicated to supporting members in accessing the care and resources they need to improve their health and well-being. In my role, I work closely with members to help them navigate the healthcare system, connect them to services, and provide compassionate support throughout their care journey.Alongside my work in care coordination, I am currently studying Diagnostic Medical Sonography. I am passionate about expanding my clinical knowledge so I can continue to grow in the healthcare field and provide high-quality, patient-centered care. Outside of work I love activities like hiking, runs, picnics, and discovering different types of cuisines. I love making new connections and doing a bit more when it comes to helping patients as well as my team.

I am a Care Coordinator at Rio Pecos Medical Associates, where I support women and families throughout pregnancy and the postpartum period. I am passionate about helping others and feel grateful to bring that passion into my daily work, providing guidance, education, and compassionate support to the members I serve.
My background in customer care, along with my experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant and as a barber, has strengthened my ability to connect with people from all walks of life. These roles have helped me develop strong communication skills, empathy, and a commitment to delivering quality care and service.
Outside of work, I enjoy embracing life as a mom and spending quality time with my family. We love staying active together, whether that’s going on walks or simply unwinding at home with our two dogs and two cats.

I love connecting with patients on a deeper level and truly care about supporting you through whatever stage you may be in—whether that’s pregnancy or other women’s health needs. My role is to help gather helpful resources, answer questions, and make sure you feel supported along the way. I like to think of myself as your friend first, and then your personal assistant or accountability partner—whatever you need, I’m here to help.
As a wife and mother, caring for families and supporting women during important seasons of life deeply motivates the work I do every day.
Outside of work, I love anything that involves the outdoors or spending quality time with my family, including fishing, hiking, and camping. You can often find me playing with my joyful two-year-old daughter in princess dresses and soaking up the simple, beautiful moments of everyday life—or maybe even playing the occasional video game.

Care Coordinator
I am a Care Coordinator with Rio Pecos Medical Associates, where I have spent the past eight months supporting OB-GYN patients as they navigate pregnancy and postpartum. I am passionate about helping patients connect with resources, find answers to their questions, and feel supported during such an important time in their lives. Sometimes the most meaningful part of my role is simply being there to listen and provide encouragement when it’s needed most.
I recently graduated from massage therapy school and will soon be taking my exam to become a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT). I’m excited to expand my ability to help others through therapeutic care and wellness. Outside of work, my life revolves around my family. I enjoy spending time with my husband and our four children, whether it’s at home or cheering from the sidelines. I am also actively involved in my community as a high school cheer coach and by coaching my son’s youth basketball team alongside my husband. Supporting others, whether in healthcare or everyday life, is truly what motivates me, and I’m grateful for every opportunity to make a positive impact.

I am currently pursuing my nursing degree with a strong interest in women’s health and maternal care. Improving outcomes for mothers and babies is something that deeply motivates the work I do every day.

Dr. David A. Fucinari, D.O., completed his Obstetrics & Gynecology residency at LSU Health Shreveport in June 2025 and began seeing patients at Rio Pecos Medical Associates in Roswell, NM, on August 4, 2025. He earned his D.O. degree from Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine (Class of 2021) and holds a B.S. in Biomedical Science from Grand Valley State University.

Family Medicine and Obstetrics
Dr. Trevor Miller is a board-certified family medicine physician with advanced training in surgical obstetrics. At Rio Pecos Medical Associates, he provides full-spectrum family practice care for patients of all ages—from pediatric to geriatric—with a focus on women’s health, obstetrics, and gynecology. He is experienced in both vaginal and cesarean deliveries and participates in labor and delivery call coverage for the practice.
Dr. Miller was the first physician in the nation to receive the Coalition for Osteopathic Excellence Incentive Grant—an award supporting osteopathic physicians who choose to practice in underserved communities. Additionally, Dr. Miller was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society, which recognizes clinicians who exemplify compassionate, patient-centered care and outstanding interpersonal skills.
Dr. Miller earned his medical degree from Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency at Idaho State University, where he also completed an advanced surgical obstetrics training track. He holds certifications in advanced cardiac life support, neonatal resuscitation, and serves as an instructor in advanced life support in obstetrics.

Family Nurse Practitioner
Nancy Walker is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over three decades of nursing experience, offering compassionate, comprehensive care to patients of all ages. A Roswell native, Nancy began her career at Eastern New Mexico University–Roswell and went on to earn her Master of Science in Nursing. She is deeply committed to delivering personalized, whole-person care that blends evidence-based medicine with supportive wellness strategies.
Nancy provides primary care across the lifespan—from newborns to geriatric patients—with additional expertise in weight loss management, polycystic ovarian syndrome, postpartum depression, breastfeeding support, and bio-identical hormone replacement therapy, including pellet therapy. She is also a trained doula and certified childbirth educator, offering supportive care for women before, during, and after pregnancy.
In 2024, Nancy was nationally recognized as one of only 20 nurse practitioners selected for the prestigious Nurse Practitioner Entrepreneur Program sponsored by Duke University and Johnson & Johnson. This year-long initiative develops nurse-led primary care innovations in underserved communities, emphasizing leadership and business development.

Dr. Eric Yancey Peterson is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist with over three decades of experience providing comprehensive women's healthcare in Roswell, New Mexico. He specializes in general and high-risk obstetrics, preventive women's health, and menopausal management. Dr. Peterson also offers ovulation assistance for patients with polycystic ovarian syndrome.
He earned his Bachelor of Science in Zoology from Louisiana State University and his Doctor of Medicine from LSU School of Medicine in Shreveport. Dr. Peterson completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at LSU Health Sciences Center.
Since 1995, Dr. Peterson has been practicing at Rio Pecos Medical Associates, serving the Roswell community with dedication. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Peterson has held several leadership positions, including Chief of Staff at Roswell Regional Hospital and Chief of Surgery at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center (ENMMC). He currently serves as the Secretary of the ENMMC Medical Executive Committee.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Peterson is committed to providing patient-centered care with empathy and respect.

Gynecology & Women’s Health
Dr. Richard Mooney is a board-certified gynecologist and a founding member of Rio Pecos Medical Associates, where he has served the Roswell community for over 40 years. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He is also certified by the Accreditation Council of Gynecologic Endoscopy and has previously held memberships in the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists and the International Society of Clinical Densitometrists.
Dr. Mooney’s practice focuses on gynecologic surgery and complex women’s health concerns. His areas of expertise include:
- Surgical and non-surgical management of pelvic relaxation syndrome
- Bladder sling surgery for urinary stress incontinence
- Hormonal and surgical treatment of abnormal uterine bleeding, fibroids, ovarian cysts, and pelvic pain
- Minimally invasive procedures including laparoscopic hysterectomy and diagnostic laparoscopy
- Management of cervical and vulvar lesions through colposcopy, cryotherapy, LEEP, and conization
- Menopausal care, including hormone replacement therapy
- Adolescent gynecology, contraceptive counseling, and IUD placement

Fallon Moody, MSN, APRN, FNP-C
Family Nurse Practitioner
Fallon Moody is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over six years of nursing experience in diverse clinical settings, including women’s health, pediatrics, family practice, and mental health. A Roswell native and graduate of Eastern New Mexico University, Fallon earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Governors University and her Master of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University.
Known for her compassionate and ethical approach, Fallon is passionate about delivering holistic healthcare that supports the whole person and the entire family. She has a strong commitment to improving the patient experience in routine care and changing how individuals engage with the healthcare system.
Fallon has received advanced clinical training with Rio Pecos Medical Associates and other regional practices, developing expertise in obstetric care, pediatric wellness and illness management, gynecologic procedures, contraceptive management, and care for aging adults. She is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Neonatal Resuscitation, Basic Life Support, and the S.T.A.B.L.E. program. She is also a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Dr. John Dacanay is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist who has dedicated his entire career to serving the women and families of Roswell and Southeast New Mexico. A physician partner at Rio Pecos Medical Associates since 2012, Dr. Dacanay is beloved by his patients for his exceptional bedside manner, compassionate care, and best-in-class service. Over the years, he has delivered thousands of babies and built a legacy as one of the most respected and trusted providers in the region.
Dr. Dacanay earned his Bachelor of Science degree with a minor in Theology from Loyola University Chicago, graduating Magna Cum Laude. He received his medical degree from Rush University and completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Cook County and Illinois Masonic Medical Centers in Chicago. He was recognized with the prestigious CREOG Residency Award in both 1996 and 1997 for clinical excellence.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Dacanay has served in multiple leadership roles, including Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Lovelace Roswell Regional Hospital and at Payson Regional Medical Center in Arizona. He also previously served as an Assistant Residency Director in Chicago, and he remains deeply committed to education and mentoring. In 2024, he was honored as the Clinical Assistant Professor – Outstanding Preceptor of the Year by the Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine, in recognition of his outstanding support of medical student education.

Katrina Kelly is a Certified Nurse Midwife and proud New Mexico native with over a decade of experience in women’s health. She is deeply committed to serving rural communities with personalized, evidence-based care that supports women and families through every season of life. Whether she’s attending births or assisting with postpartum challenges, Katrina brings clinical excellence, compassion, and a whole-person approach to her work.
At Rio Pecos Medical Associates, Katrina provides full-scope midwifery care, including prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and gynecological services. Her clinical expertise is complemented by a strong foundation in labor and delivery nursing and experience in quality assurance and clinical data abstraction. She also performs gynecologic procedures such as endometrial biopsies and colposcopies and is skilled in lactation support and advanced fetal monitoring.
Katrina earned her Master of Science in Nursing in Nurse Midwifery and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of New Mexico, following her Associate Degree in Nursing from Eastern New Mexico University in Roswell. She is a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) and a Certified Medical Esthetic Practitioner (MEP-C), expanding her ability to care for the whole woman across the lifespan.
