Dr. Trevor Miller, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine

Family Medicine and Obstetrics

Dr. Trevor Miller is a board-certified family medicine physician with advanced training in surgical obstetrics. At Rio Pecos Medical Associates, he provides full-spectrum family practice care for patients of all ages—from pediatric to geriatric—with a focus on women’s health, obstetrics, and gynecology. He is experienced in both vaginal and cesarean deliveries and participates in labor and delivery call coverage for the practice.

Dr. Miller was the first physician in the nation to receive the Coalition for Osteopathic Excellence Incentive Grant—an award supporting osteopathic physicians who choose to practice in underserved communities. Additionally, Dr. Miller was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society, which recognizes clinicians who exemplify compassionate, patient-centered care and outstanding interpersonal skills.

Dr. Miller earned his medical degree from Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency at Idaho State University, where he also completed an advanced surgical obstetrics training track. He holds certifications in advanced cardiac life support, neonatal resuscitation, and serves as an instructor in advanced life support in obstetrics.

Originally from Nebraska, Dr. Miller developed a deep connection to New Mexico while completing his clinical rotations in Roswell. His time in the Southwest—and the patients who shaped his early training—solidified his desire to return and serve the community long-term.

He was recently invited to join the Obstetrics and Gynecology Safety Committee at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center, where he collaborates with hospital staff to enhance maternal and neonatal safety and improve outcomes for families across Southeast New Mexico.

Dr. Miller’s path to medicine began with a childhood injury and grew through his work as a certified nursing assistant during college. He completed his undergraduate degree in Biology at Concordia University in Nebraska, with a minor in Chemistry.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Miller enjoys fishing, golfing, cross-country skiing, and playing pickleball.
